are they talking about the seats or the jersey (or the team)?

I actually bought those seats one time, walking up all happy like I'd just gotten a great deal on seats.

a modest proposal

as much as college-sport playoff types like to go on and on about the NCAA tournament - there hasn't been a watchable final four this decade (no link provided google it yourself)and part of the problem - the NCAA's insistence on holding the final four in non-basketball domed stadiums (RCA dome, Alamo dome, Metrodome) which clearly affect a young players shooting touch thus creating craptastic games but does provide the NCAA a chance to sell 20,000 more tickets

a proposition: all final four games should be played in Hinkle Fieldhouse which is like the Wrigley Field of college basketball minus the poor parking and industrial size skanks, and bitter baby boomers from Wilmette that plague Wrigley

NCAA make it so

Packers - Giants lots of history

unlike baseball which chucked its history to the side in the 1990's to appeal to the idiot demographic football has remained true to its roots - two classic franchises meet in the playoffs this weekend for the first time since the 1962 NFL Championship game

Please note:

1.) There was no Super Bowl in 1962 it wasn't invented until 1965 by the same guy who created facebook, herpes and the wave
2.) Game was played at Yankee Stadium - when they stopped playing football games in Yankee Stadium American started to die - Vietnam didn't help either

Best thing about Packers

I first heard about this from Steve Rushin and wikipedia confirms it:

"Based on the original "Articles of Incorporation for the (then) Green Bay Football Corporation" put into place in 1923, if the Packers franchise was sold, after the payment of all expenses, any remaining money would go to the Sullivan Post of the American Legion in order to build "a proper soldier's memorial." This stipulation was enacted to ensure the club remained in Green Bay and that there could never be any financial enhancement for the shareholders."

when the Cubs get sold on the other hand I'm pretty sure soldier's are going to get shit

fans?

Future Cub Brian Roberts on his steroid use: "I can honestly say before God, myself, my family and all of my fans.....insert bland denial here"

Brian Roberts has fans? In the plural? Brian I think you listed all of your "fans" earlier in the quote - with the exception of God who most likely is lukewarm towards you at best

once again

Joe Gibbs has retired from the Redskins again; the last time he retired in 1993 the 'Skins had just blown a winnable playoff game as a 6 seed on the west coast and on Saturday they blew a winnable playoff games as a 6 seed on the west coast this time at least Pearl Jam isn't popular which makes the entire thing a lot easier to handle

I tried to tell Ben that American Gladiators wouldn't work on "very" small screen...

the first big album of 2008 or dried over Will Leitch shit

Will Leitch's awful waste of paper comes out Jan. 22 - just in case you have a burning desire to spend money that day I suggest this album owning it will prove much less embrassing and will age much better (and it's by a band that plays updated Prog Rock)

I hate Will Leitch

he clearly only has sex with women in posistions that allow him to look at himself in the mirror;

Amazon Sales Rank of Leitch's "hot" new book: 3,239

Amazon Sales Rank of book about a Penis: 1,453

this is how bored i am with the so-called hot stove

I have to resort to this kind of stuff:
